This educational institution is located about 13 km from Daratana, the center of Jessore. It is the first and only public university in the greater Jessore district of southwestern Bangladesh. Its educational program started in 2008-2009 academic year.It is the fourth government university of Khulna division. Currently, the process of increasing the area of this campus to 100 acres is going on.
