In 2024, the Bangladesh Police Force has opened a significant recruitment drive, offering 3,600 new positions for constables. Qualifications and Requirements

Educational Background: Applicants must have passed SSC or an equivalent examination, securing a minimum GPA of 2.5.
Age Limit: Aspirants must be aged between 18 to 20 years as of February 07, 2024. This opportunity is open only to unmarried individuals.

Physical Standards

For Male Candidates: A minimum height of 5 feet 6 inches is required, with a chest measurement of 31 inches (normal) and 33 inches (expanded). For male candidates from tribal and freedom fighter backgrounds, the height requirement is 5 feet 4 inches with a chest measurement of 30 inches (normal) and 31 inches (expanded).
For Female Candidates: The height requirement is 5 feet 4 inches, or 5 feet 2 inches for candidates from tribal and freedom fighter backgrounds. Weight will be considered in relation to height and age.

Benefits and Salary

During the six-month training period, recruits will receive clothing, food, and medical facilities, along with a monthly training allowance. Post-training, the salary will range from Tk 9,000-21,800, as per the 17th grade of the 2015 pay scale.

Selection Process

Physical Examination: Candidates must undergo physical measurements and tests at the Police Lines Maidan in their district. This includes verification of age, height, chest, and weight, followed by physical activities like running, jumping, and push-ups.
Written Examination: After clearing the physical test, candidates will receive an admit card for the written exam, which will include topics like Bengali, English, General Mathematics, and General Science, totaling 45 marks.
Psychological and Oral Tests: Successful candidates from the written test will be called for psychological and oral tests, carrying 15 marks. This stage assesses mental aptitude and values through various questions, including personal introductions.
